OCEAN of GRASSES
Ocean of Grasses seeks to re-encounter the Midwestern prairie not as a resource to be consumed, but as a living archive of resilience and reciprocity.
Through lumen prints on expired silver gelatin paper, anthotypes made with organic extracts of native plants, cyanotypes, and embossed handmade paper crafted from agricultural waste, this project draws on both historical and experimental photographic traditions to illustrate the presence of prairie plants.
Each image is formed in direct contact with native species, demanding not only technical process but also physical presence and immersion in place.
